The eighth month of disastrous year 2020
This eight month of simply disastrous year!!
First day of this month, went somewhat like this. While I entered my hospital, before entering my department, I heard medical officer explaining a young man about late 20s about the death of his wife, who was in a state of denial. He was in a state of shock, or may be a state where nothing goes inside ( sort of not registering things). I simply remembered day, when I was sitting outside ICU sobbing, unable to accept my father demise.
Month started with water shortage, BMC announcing 20% decrease in supply. The irony, it seems nature took this seriously and we got floods
Continuous rains , floods , again travel troubles.
What keep us alive ?
Despite all these hardships?
Just imagine the position of a vendor, who after thriving on his savings in lockdown; goes and reopens his shop & after 4 months of lockdown in Mumbai the GREAT FLOOD drains away his peace in a day!
Another plight, a man goes to work, leaves his family at home & when he returns there is no home and his family, comprising of wife and 2 others are in drain, under rescue search !
Such a plight of life!
Downpour transfers to Kerala!

I really don’t understand why am I surviving this tough ruthless merciless year!

The other day my senior and me were discussing some issues, when my mind totally got diverted by a sobbing yelling patient's / deceased kin... I found myself lost, again, for no good....
Death isn't new to me, as doctors we are used to see patients in agony and dead bodies too, but this is little different.....
What keeps us alive?
Isn't it HOPE for better tomorrow?
HOPE ! Only hope !
And yes! I am still waiting for a better tomorrow (if any and that too if I survive )!

On our Independence Day (15/8/2020) , our national army released the names of 20 Martyrs , the one's who lost their lives due to attack by great exploiter and opportunist China.

Rise in number and rise in recovery
There is surge in number of cases and also the recoveries. India ranked 3rd, subsequently 2nd now as month ends.
Last days of August:
India makes progress in all fields ,in science, technology, in covid numbers & latest in news is substance abuse!
Of many things that surround us, only few things do have an impact on us!
What are those?
How to determine it's role on our development?
After living so many years of life, with ups and downs, I can definitely say , " Human character is continuously evolving. As I experience, I can say, it inculcates few qualities which it feels better and cast off few(unnecessary / harmful) ; as we progress and learn from our life experiences!"
